I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
